Call Forwarding Busy

Description

This feature allows a subscriber to have calls forwarded to another (selected) directory number when the subscriber’s line is Busy or in Do Not Disturb. When the feature is active it does not affect the normal operation of the subscriber’s line when idle (i.e., the subscriber can make and receive calls in the normal manner).

Call Forwarding Busy does not affect the first call to a busy subscriber who has Call Waiting activated. The second call will follow Call Forward Busy. When Call Forwarding Busy and Call Forwarding Variable are both activated, the Call Forwarding Variable destination will be rung.

To set up Call Forwarding Busy:

1. Lift the handset. Dial tone is returned.

2. Dial the Call Forwarding Busy - Activation feature access code 76# Recall dial tone is returned.

3. Dial the directory number where calls are to be forwarded. The call is completed normally, and when the call is answered the forwarding is activated for subsequent calls.

If the forwarding destination does not answer, is busy, or has Do Not Disturb activated, the Call Forwarding will be activated if the subscriber repeats the set up procedure within two minutes of the first attempt. This second attempt will be followed by confirmation tone to indicate successful feature activation.
